-Lesson 21: Goal Setting
Using the Harte System - Goal Setting Form:
1. First - Do it for you. Create a personal goal for weight management or a healthy lifestyle. Since you just completed the lesson for weight management, it makes sense to use this in your homework.
2. Second - Create a fictional client for weight management.
NOTE:
• Before you use the Goal Setting form, write out a summary of what you want, your circumstances, obstacles, and your goal. Assess your needs. It helps to pretend you are with your hypnotherapist, explaining your circumstances.
• Do the same summary for a fictional client. Make up their story.
• Write these summaries down to submit with the completed Goal Setting forms.
USING THESE SUMMARIES, FILL OUT THE GOAL SETTING FORM FOR YOURSELF AND FOR YOUR FICTITIOUS CLIENT.
3. Third - Fill out every sequential block of information in the form:
• Goal
• Benefits
• Thinking
• Feeling
• Action
4. Fourth - Using the finished goal assessment, create suggestions which state the goal and include specific, actionable, enabling objectives.
