Insomnia

Hypnosis has been proven extremely effective in curing chronic insomnia.

It is easy – it works – and it’s so much less expensive than over-the-counter and/or prescription drugs.

Insomnia may be the result of worry, fears, and anxiety, causing interference of normally

functioning brain wave patterns for sleep. In order to fall asleep, your brain must go from a BETA brain wave to an ALPHA brain wave. In the Alpha state everything becomes dreamy, visualizations are clear, and your brain is ready to flip the sleep switch in your brain to allow you go from ALPHA to DELTA and to THETA, where you fall into a deep, peaceful and healing sleep.

Your conscious mind may be busy with worry, anxiety, fear, anger, emotional conflict, and

more. This makes it hard for the brain to let go conscious processing and rest. And some people worry so much about not being able to sleep that they make it impossible to sleep.

Worrying about insomnia creates insomnia. You know what happens next – you worry during the day about whether or not you will sleep that night. So, of course, you cannot sleep – and the next day you worry twice as much and you find yourself in a vicious cycle of negative thinking. This only causes new worry and anxiety and more sleepless nights.

Your brain has become an expert at having insomnia. You need help to break this cycle once it’s in full swing. Your subconscious no longer knows how to break the pattern. With the help of a professional Hypnotherapist, you can change this destructive cycle. In order to sleep deeply, you will need to teach your brain to go instantly into an alpha state. We will teach you how to use subconscious triggers to eliminate worry and anxiety and sleep through the night.

What our clients are saying ...

"I have always had difficulty sleeping, caused by anxiety. If I had troubles or worries in my
work or home life, it would be difficult for me to sleep. Earlier in my life this didn’t happen very often. I didn’t suffer the cumulative effects of sleep deprivation and often I could catch up on my sleep on the weekends.

When I entered my forties my sleep problems accelerated and it seemed as if I only got seven good hours of sleep on one or two days a week. Although sometimes I couldn’t fall asleep, my usual pattern was to fall asleep between 11 pm and midnight, only to wake up at 4:30 am unable to fall back asleep. By the time I went to see Bay Area Hypnosis I had been in this pattern for about four years and it was taking a toll on me both physically and emotionally.

I wasn't sure what hypnosis could do for me, but I had heard some positive reports, so I gave it a try. I have to say that after the first visit I slept from 11:30am until 6:30am in the morning, and for the following three days in a row. It does take effort on your own to maintain the benefits of hypnosis between sessions. Bay Area Hypnosis taught me how to use self-hypnosis between sessions.

Hypnosis as different than I had imagined. Nothing is said that you don't recall later. External noises don't break the trance. It is almost as though you submit to the trance and you yourself decide that you will come out of it when the Hypnotherapist brings you out of it.

It has been a year now and, although I sometimes still have sleep problems, I can concentrate on getting myself to fall to sleep most of these times. I would have to say that hypnosis was very helpful with my sleep problems and certainly had no negative side effects.

Thanks to Bay Area Hypnosis counsels and teaching, I can now sleep through the night;"
